Assume that it is Halloween. Howard and Frank get a little drunk and decide it would be fun to make a dummy from old clothes and drop it (at night) from a highway overpass. They make the dummy and put a Halloween mask on it. They take it to an overpass on I-75 and throw it over the railing. Greta is traveling at 65-mph on the expressway. Suddenly a lifelike figure crashes into her front window. She veers to the left and hits a car driven by Pete. The collision knocks Pete's vehicle into a bridge support, and he is killed. At common law what would be the most appropriate charges for Howard and Frank concerning Pete's death? Murder Reckless Homicide Negligent Homicide No Crime at All - They did not know Pete, did not intend his death and there is no causation.
