Scenario (Read First)
You are an early childhood educator working in a preschool room (children aged 3-5 years). During outdoor play, you notice several children:
collecting leaves, sticks, and small rocks
comparing sizes
sorting them into piles
The children begin to ask questions such as:
"Why are some leaves crunchy and some soft?"
"Where do sticks come from?"
"Can we build something with these?"
You decide to use this interest as the starting point for your curriculum planning.

Your Task
Using the scenario above, explain how you would plan a child-centred and inclusive learning project.
You must show your understanding of:
the planning and programming cycle
child-centred curriculum
the project approach
This is a simulated activity. You do not need access to real children or a workplace.

Task 2

Title: Comic strip illustrating infant-focused research for a lay audience
Instructions:
1. 1. View the Netflix Documentary Babies: Love, located on Slide 7 in H5P Week 1.
2. 2. Select ONE research study about infants presented within the documentary.
3. 3. Create a short comic showing a caregiver and an infant demonstrating the research concept you selected, emphasising its importance.
4. This may be hand-drawn, digitally-drawn, or created using other digital tools such as Canva to illustrate the research findings for lay audience who do not have the expertise or knowledge in early childhood education.
5. Important: Include an accurate timestamp (minute and second) from the documentary to support your audiovisual citation. ex. (Babies: Love, 2020, 47:50)
