Margery works as a community support worker in a homelessness support service. She has had a meeting with her supervisor regarding work performance and her performance standards as she has now been employed for 6 months with the service. He has asked her to meet the following performance standard which is part of her job description:
"Margery is to find accommodation for at least three clients per day".
She has not yet been able to meet this performance standard. He has not offered any additional training or support to help Margery meet this performance standard and she is unsure how she will achieve this and is feeling unsure about her job security and stressed about the situation.
