CULTURE
Organizational culture is defined as the set of key values, assumptions, understandings, and norms that is shared by the members of an organization and taught to new members. Examples: Casual dress and/or non-specific work hours; discussion about the latest baseball games at the "water cooler" encouraged; casual, non-work related talks with superiors discouraged; an attitude of work hard/play hard; etc.
1. How would you characterize your organization's culture?
2. What "unwritten rules" have you picked up so far?
3. Detail the best piece of advice you received this week. Who was the employee? What was the advice?
4. Include a photo (jpg) of you with your supervisor. We may use your photo and comments for publicity, so thank you for your professional efforts on this.
