A standard procedure in pufying tubulin is to extract the tissue on ice, then add GTP and warm the tissue extract to 37C. The warmed extract is then centrifuged at a speed insufficient to pellet average sized proteins, but sufficient to pellet large protein complexes. After centrifugation, the supernant is discarded, and the solution is agian warmed for a few minutes. Then centrifugation at the same speed described above is again performed. This process is repeated several times.
How would this processs result in purification of tubulin?
What contaminating proteins would likely co-purify with the tubulin?
What are the three main ions that play a role in the equilibrium membrane potential. What ion drives the potential, and why. What kinds of functions might these shared genes have.
Important functions of skeletal system involve: protection of the brain and soft organs. storage of water. production of Vitamin E.
You are designing a new single-celled organism. Discuss the problems of size, getting molecules like nutrients and wastes in and out, temperature, energy and replication of genetic materials.
Suppose that transgenic organisms can be developed to speed nitrogen fixation. How might use of these organisms affect ecosystem.
Circulatory system. Describe how chemistry, tissues, and cells act as building blocks of that organ and system. You will require including information on anatomy and physiology as well as interesting facts you found while doing your research.

It also makes an antidote molecule called brevenal that binds to sodium channels and protects them against the toxin. Brevenal may end up being a treatment for CF; in a sheep CF model, brevenal blocked bronchoconstriction and enhanced the clearance o..
The Neurospora cross was made between a strains that carried mating type A and mutant allele arg-1(arg) and another strain the carried mating-type a and the wild type arg-1 (+) gene. Four hundred linear octads were isolated and they fell into the 7 c..
If you continue adding drops of bromine to each, eventually lipids change color. For our experiment it took 14 for lard, 23 for olive oil, and 35 for corn oil. Yet, the iodine numbers for each were 59, 81, 123 respectively. Would you consider the ..
