Mary did not save enough for retirement and now has to go find a job to support herself because social security is not enough. she wishes that the minimum wage would be raised to $20.00 per hour as she lives up north. I told her that they should raise the minimum wage to $1,000,000 per hour as this would eliminate poverty and then everyone would be a millionaire. Is my thinking flawed? How would this affect business? How would this affect those of us who are paid on a salary?
