Facts: Gloria claims that Troy tried to murder her by poisoning her grande hazelnut latte. As a result, Troy was arrested and is not on trial for attempted murder of Gloria. The following witness are being asked to testify at trial.

How would I be able to tell if it is Hearsay or Non Hearsay?

Sheena is Troy's sister. She claims that Troy's friend, Joe, admitted that he poisoned the coffee. However, Joe apparently drank out of the wrong cup and wound up poisoning himself. Joe slowly sank into a coma and died before he could testify.

Jed is being asked to testify that he saw Troy putting a substance into a cup that Gloria was drinking from.

Bella is Troy's former girlfriend. She claims that Troy told her, "I'm gonna get even with Gloria one of these days."

Calvin was an inmate in the same jail cell as Troy. Calvin claims that Troy told him, "I didn't do anything wrong"

Randy wants to testify that he heard Gloria state, "I'm going to make sure Troy spends the rest of his life in jail by poisoning myself"

Judy is going to recount at a worker's compensation hearing the substance of a conversation that she had with Gloria, in which Gloria admitted that she was not really too emotionally upset to work, as she had previously claimed.
