Question: One aspect of Luke-Acts that we have explored this semester includes the manner in which different themes appear throughout these narratives. The presentation should be created in mind as if the student was going to teach this theme at a church.

For this assignment, students are permitted to choose one theme of their choice that appears in Luke-Acts. Students are allowed to choose a theme in the Thematic Threads if they would like; some ideas for themes include the Spirit, pneumatic experiences, the role of women.

Today, we will examine THE ROLE OF WOMEN, which is one of the fascinating themes present in both the Acts of the Apostles and the Gospel of Luke. Women play an important and revolutionary part in Jesus' message and the early Christian society throughout these stories. Through a chronological and narrative exploration of the theme of women, we will learn how their presence affects our modern-day religious community.
The presentation should follow the theme as it is presented in Luke-Acts, and students should cite and quote Scripture in a chronological and narrative manner. In other words, students should follow the narrative presentation whenever tracing the theme.
After tracing the theme in the conclusion, students should offer some theological reflections of how the theme impacts the contemporary community of faith.
