Review the following scenario and post your response to the questions that follow.

Scenario:

Neil was scheduled to give a presentation at work to an important client. Unfortunately, a few hours before the presentation he received a call from his teenage son indicating that he had been arrested and charged with assault. Neil explained the entire situation to his manager and indicated that he needed to go to the police station. The manager was supportive and assured Neil that he would have another member of the team step in to give the presentation. Since Neil has had a history of attendance issues at work, his manager wanted to assure everyone that this was a legitimate crisis situation and provided the details surrounding Neil's absence to the other team members who would be covering for him. The manager also felt it was necessary for the team to know this information in order to be able to properly perform their job duties.
