My preference is that you select a topic that you are interested in and that is why I will not be pre-selecting topics on your behalf. I encourage you to use sources in the book such as 5-2b mind mapping. Submit any charts or mapping that you made to help determine your topic selection. A topic should be an idea that will help solve a problem. Realistically, our job as business leaders is to identify business problems and recommend solutions. Therefore, we should not be creating fictitious or hypothetical situations. Rather, we should look at real-life business problems and select one to research recommended solutions. If you are struggling with this, refer to 5-2 in the textbook on how to generate ideas to solve problems. Once you generate an idea, you can begin to develop the "hook" of your introduction. In other words, what makes a reader want to continue reading. For example, a "hook" that I recently used for a paper was the following:

My topic: I argued that there is an increase in micromanagers in the workplace. I started my paper with providing how prevalent micromanagement is in the workplace.

"Based on Google Trends, Harms et al. (2018) found that the search for autocratic leadership is significantly higher than transformational leadership. 79% of employees have interacted with managers who micromanage with 71% indicating that it impacted their job performance, with 36% leaving the organization (Kurter, 2022). Autocratic leadership is extensively studied and shown to have negative consequences in the workplace (Harms et al., 2018). "

Now, the reader is hooked into figuring out why these numbers are so high.
