Case: EHR proponents suggest that EHRs can substantially reduce medical error. However, there has been a lack of data and studies that confirm the safety of EHRs that corroborate these expectations.

In response to the dearth of information, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania conducted a study to assess the types of EHR-related errors and problems reported to the Pennsylvania Patient Safety Authority. Read the findings of this study and answer the questions that follow:
