Question - The heat produced in burning 1 mol H2 (?Hm=285.9 KJmol-1) is used to heat liquid water from room temperature (20oC) to the boiling point (100oC, Cp,m = 75.3 JK-1mol-1). How many moles of water can be heat with 1 Kg of Hydrogen gas? If the heat produced by 1mol CH4 is 890KJ, how many Kg of methane are needed to perform the same boiling process?
