Question: I don''t believe the prosecution overcharged the case. Even putting all emotions aside, the charges seem appropriate given the severity and nature of the crimes. Multiple murders and conspiracy charges align with the evidence presented and the timeline of events.

There appears to have been substantial evidence to support the charges and subsequent conviction. This includes physical evidence human remains, surveillance footage, digital evidence, religious writings, financial records, police interviews, expert testimonies, 60 witness testimonies, and DNA evidence. All of this combined culminate to make a strong case.

The defense seems to have focused on Lori''s mental state and religious beliefs. The defense did not call a single witness. This led to basically no counter evidence to refute the prosecution''s case. My thought on this is that there simply was no evidence for the defense to present. The defense did their best to ensure Lori's Constitutional Rights were respected and had little more to do to serve their client. From my experience, this tends to happen when someone is truly guilty and the prosecution and investigators do a thorough and professional job.

Without being able to get my hands on the copies of all the court documents and investigators reports that I am sure could fill several books, the evidence on the news stories and videos convinces me she is guilty.

I do not believe that Lori would qualify for any kind of mental health exemptions. Her beliefs were extreme and strange but do not suggest she lacks the mental capacity to understand that what she did was wrong. The way she attempted to cover up the murders and the way she hid and collected benefits from her actions were consistent with her knowing exactly what she did.

What I think this case teaches us most about is how easy it could be for children to be victimized and slip through the cracks. Without someone to stand up and report something, no one would have known about this. How many children has this happened to who we are completely unaware of? How many cults like this exist around us where horrible things like this are happening?
