Question 1) Where do you call "home" (i.e., where are you "from," meaning where do you know what the seasons are like, and what the normal weather patterns feel like, and what the "lay of the land" looks like, be it Santee vs. Pacific Beach vs. L.A. vs. Tokyo, etc.)?
Question 2) Where did you go to High School?
Question 3) How long have you been taking college classes (e.g., are you recently-out-of-high-school, or recently back to college after years away, or right in the middle of your college career, or still in High School, etc.)?
Question 4) Why are you enrolled in college (i.e., do you have a major, or are you working on a certification in a program such as the culinary arts or AOJ, or are you undecided but working toward finishing your G.E. requirements in preparation for transfer to a 4-year college, etc.)?
Question 5) Why are you taking this class?
Question 6) What other classes are you currently taking this semester?
Question 7) In terms of preparation for college-level science coursework:
a. What other science classes have you taken (if not in college, then in high school); how'd it go?
b. What other math classes have you taken (if not in college then in high school); how'd it go? (Note: Introductory science courses such as this have no math prerequisite, because they do so little math.)
Question 8) Are you interested in meeting other online students safely face-to-face or online for review sessions or to compare notes before exams? (If so, give a sense of time-availability and possible locations, if known, etc. Or, here in this "Covid World," would you like to study with others by Zoom or by Skype or with a post in Discussions or whatever?)
