Case Study: Write an annotated bibliography of ten articles on current discussions of the concepts and theories of power, politics, and influence related generally to leadership and organizations and specifically as possible to your future dissertation topic. An annotated bibliography is a summary description of articles (one long paragraph per article preceded by the full bibliographic citation) from peer-reviewed journals. Many of these concepts and theories are presented in Clegg's, Power and Organizations and Bolman and Deal's, "The Political Frame." The essay should begin with an introductory paragraph stating how and why you selected your articles as per your leadership, organizations, and dissertation topic focus. Each annotation should be 250-400 words (1-1.5 double-spaced pages) in length and should focus on identifying the primary purpose of each article, the intended audience of each journal, and a one-two sentence summary. Articles should be published no earlier than 2012. Students may not copy and paste or rewrite the articles' abstract-this will be checked in Turnitin. Grading will assess selection of journal, precision in citation, mechanics of summary, and articulation of intended audience.
