Throw a ball under each of three conditions - once with no step, once with no trunk rotation, and once with a normal throwing pattern. Measure the distance of each of the three throws. Report back comparing the distance that was achieved by each throw and offer reasons for our results based on your understanding of the principles of motion and stability relative to the movement form.

Go for a run. First run forward for 15 feet, and then run backwards for 15 feet. Next, while running forward or backward, change direction part way through the run. That is, as you are running forward, change you direction to the right or left (also try this while running backwards). Based on your understanding of the physical principles discussed in this section, how is running forward different from running backwards? What occurs when you want to change direction?
