Question: When we consider body politics in a patriarchy, we can think about how a woman's body is often thought to belong more to the public than to the actual woman. This leaves women's bodies open to comments, "suggestions," rules, poking and prodding. Discuss the ways that you have seen or experienced women's bodies being treated in this manner.

Men's bodies that don't fit the patriarchal ideal are also regulated - how have you seen this? Are there any similarities or differences in the way that women's bodies and men's bodies are treated?

While there is more openness around gender non-binary people than ever before, how does the cultural focus on bodies hinder understanding of gender non-binary peoples' experiences?
