A small real estate company recently hired Frances to be its administrative manager. The owners recruited Frances from another real estate company because of her successful experience with the expansion and opening of new locations. One of her first objectives is to learn as much as possible about her current employees. She wants to quickly select a few top performers to be part of a team dedicated to opening new stores. Frances needs people who are not only technically good at their jobs but who also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Frances is trying to decide the most efficient method for learning about the current employees to decide who she wants to recruit for her team. One approach she is considering is to shadow each person for a day. Another idea is to use one or more assessment tools. However, Frances has never used an assessment tool, so she is not sure what to use and how to get started.
