Question

In response to PSA flight 1771 and Pan Am 103, The Airport Security Improvement Act of 1990 was promulgated and codified into law. This act caused pilots and flight crew to undergo screening. This is still in effect today with some modifications. Pilots and crew at their home-based airports can bypass screening by access through other doors leading to the airfield. However, if they access the sterile concourse by way of a check point they still undergo screening. This dichotomy has existed for many years. How do you feel about screening of pilots and flight crew? Should they be screened?
