How do political issues get framed in the news media? Choose a political issue, do a content analysis of 10 news paper articles or TV news transcripts that discuss that issue. How is that issue framed? Whose voices get heard in the coverage? What questions, prioblems and concerns get raised, and what gets left out? Does the coverage and framing vary by media format or change over time? Be sure to include, along with your analysis, a clear account of how you gathered your data and a table showing a descriptive coding of the articles and/or transcripts.
