I. Instructions:
1. Select one trait/aspect of yourself that you want to focus on for #2
2. Showcase what you learned from Module 3(see list below) by explaining how you came to have this trait/aspect of yourself. Some guide questions are as follows ( you are not limited to these questions, these are just guides to help you formulate your essay):
- i.e. talk about socialization, its agents, psychosocial stages, emerging adulthood, conscious or unconscious processes, id, ego, superego, defense mechanisms or experiences of these that contributed to the change. (see list below)
- How did the family life cycle stages and the psychosocial stages you and your family went through contribute to developing such a trait/that aspect of yourself?
- Given this trait/aspect of yourself, what does your ID, EGO or SUPEREGO look like? How did socialization, psychosocial stages, family life cycle stages led to such an ID, EGO, and SUPEREGO?
- Given this trait/aspect of yourself, what defense mechanisms did you come to employ? Why is that so? (Use the other concepts in the module to answer why ).
4. Given your reflection, give a concrete plan of action for the future or a question that you would like to further reflect on.
