Assignment:

There is a civil conflict in a (fictional) country in Asia. An insurgent group has tried to overthrow the government by staging a military coup. There has been heavy fighting in several major cities, resulting in many casualties and massive destruction. To escape the conflict, many people have fled the country, and others have been displaced to refugee camps on the border. Due to a lack of potable water and unsanitary conditions, an outbreak of cholera has sparked in several camps.

Considering Canada's actions, contributions, and approach in recent global conflicts, what do you think would be the response anticipating how Canada would respond to this civil conflict overseas? What resources would Canada use to assist? Would it adopt a peacemaking or a military role? Refer to Canada's actions in at least TWO recent conflicts to explain your reasoning.
