Spend about 20 minutes taking an inside look into different households around the world. Review the different types of households and take notes on their standards of living.

  1. Compare your standard of living to one of the households you examined? What were some of the similarities and differences you found?
  2. Filter your data by one country (at the top just check one country and click ok). Compare one household with a low monthly income and another with a higher monthly income. What are some of the similarities and differences you found?
  3. After peeking into a variety of households across the world, how do you feel about the topic? Use this space to reflect on the data.

Income is a primary factor in international business. As you can see by peeking into households around the world, international business can be very complex. Different regions of the world have vast income differences. Navigating the international business platform can be very challenging. 

Questions:

1-How can international cooperation help improve standards of living throughout the world?

2-How can international businesses help serve nations that may not fit their ideal target market? For example, how can Nike or Apple serve customers that would not be able to afford their products?

3-What opportunities may be present for international businesses after looking into international households?

4-Some households have a very low monthly income. They are unable to enjoy the luxuries that other nations have. How can cooperation among nations and businesses help raise their standard of living?
