This is a 5-6 page critical thinking writing assignment, not a paper exclusively focused on discussing your internship duties or the processes of the agency. Within your paper, you will examine your internship experience in terms of personal achievement, expectations and networking and how your academic preparation was applicable to the internship work experience. In other words, you have spent the past 4+ years at UTSA working through your academic program. Stand back and conduct a critical self-examination as to how that has (or has not) prepared you for the internship experience as it relates to personal achievement, career expectations and real world experiences.

This assignment should be viewed as your senior-level academic Undergraduate Writing Competency Exam and not as a casual writing exercise. As such, avoid creative punctuation, watch your choice of words, avoid contractions whenever possible, ensure use of transitions between paragraphs, etc. Since you will discussing this topic from your perspective, you may use the I st person ("I"), but do not place the reader ("you/your") within your paper. See the "Writing Tips" handout for additional information.

As a minimum, a full letter grade reduction will be applied for any basic grammar error, creative punctuation or use of a casual writing style.

This paper must have a title page listing the name of course, date of submission and your name. The title page does not count as part of the 5-6 page requirement and all text pages will be numbered. Academic references are not needed for this assignment, but if used, then APA format applies.
