Elderly Service User (ESU): Hi there! I've been having trouble with my TV remote. It's not working properly.

ESU: Oh, I didn't even think of that! Let me give it a try.
Professional: Great idea! Sometimes a simple battery change can do the trick. Take your time and let me know if that solves the problem.
ESU: I just put in fresh batteries, and it's working perfectly now! Thank you so much for your help.
Professional: You're welcome, ESU! I'm glad I could assist you. Remember, if you have any more issues or questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Enjoy your TV time!
Introduction:
1. Here I expect you to set out what you will be writing about in the reflective essay (The role play scenario, communication skills, ethics and values, professional boundaries and Kolb's reflective cycle to reflect on strengths and weaknesses). Make sure you write in complete sentences, remember the introduction is 10% of your wordcount therefore you should aim for a 100-word introduction. Remember you must write in the first person for this reflective essay.
Main body: 2. Firstly, provide a very brief explanation of the scenario that you and your partner agreed upon(setting the scene). This will involve defining the nature and responsibilities of your professional role which, together with your discussion of the scenario, should be brief (no more than 100 words). This assignment is not to simply be a description of what was said and done in the role play, avoid being too descriptive as this will pull your grade down
3. An analysis of and reflection on the one-to-one working skills that took place in your role-play. This will be an interplay of how practitioner and client engaged and responded to each other, so you have to focus on both role players. Here you need to draw on academic sources/references linking skills to theory. You must discuss the importance of reflective practice, say which reflective model you will use to help you to do this. (Gibbs' or Kolb's). I would expect you to refer to the communication skills used during this scenario.
Remember you are being asked to write a reflective essay so comment on the communication skills you used well and why, and also the ones that weren't used well or forgotten about. When discussing communication skills don't forget to reference! When reflecting up on performance, I would expect you to introduce the reflective model (Gibbs or Kolb's cycle) and make reference to other reading material which discusses importance of reflection in practice. You must explain what you will do differently going forward in order to improve your communication skills. Use the headings from the reflective model to help you reflect!
4. Discuss the ethics and values that were relevant to your scenario. Provide examples of how you considered ethics and values within your role play. You should mention the difference between personal values and professional ethics and how you the professional worker, dealt with this. You could discuss importance of professional boundaries here and how these were or were not accounted for during your role play. Using examples of personal values, professional ethics and professional boundaries that you encountered during your role play, you should discuss which ones were used well and which one's need improving and why. To achieve a good grade, the information you provide must be supported with references, be sure to utilise the core texts and additional references throughout your essay. You should use your chosen reflective cycle when reflecting upon performance.
Conclusion:5. This should be a summary, demonstrating whether your assignment met the aims and objectives set out in your introduction, which was to reflect up on your strengths and weaknesses of the skills used in your one-to-one interaction. You must not introduce any new topics in a conclusion.*Remember to organize paragraphs according to the topics you discuss.
References: This is a list of sources you cited in the text. You will be expected to draw on parts of at least six sources, only one can be an Internet source and the remaining five should be academic/peer-reviewed sources (that is academic books or academic journals),to support your discussion.
