You are required to prepare a Guideline on conducting firefighting operations in case of the following Scenario.
Scenario:
As per the Local regulation of Royal Oman Police's Civil Defence department, your organisation has to create firefighting operations plan/guidelines in case of a fire involving multiple petrochemical fires. This guideline will be useful for training current and future firefighters in your organisation.
The Guideline should at least contain the following aspects of operational firefighting.
1. Description of Risk involved during firefighting
2. Safety precautions (Special attention to heat stress)
3. Description of required Fire Protection & Emergency Planning
4. Firefighting procedures, for
• Fixed Roof Tanks fires
• Floating Roof Tanks fires
• Open top total surface area tank fires
• Dike Area fires
• Spill Area fires
Additional guidance:
You can choose any refinery's storage area layout available from google maps to prepare a plan of operation during a fire.
You, as an officer in the higher management are responsible to prepare this guidelines based on the following documents.
