The waterjet is a very versatile process. It is similar to a laser cutting process but utilizes a jet of water with a garnet abrasive to perform the cutting.

Because the material does not have to be conductive, a lot of different materials can be cut with a waterjet. We can cut steel, plastic, granite counter tops, etc. It may not be able to cut steel as fast as the laser process, but it makes up for it in versatility. It is a common process for cutting plastic composites as well.
