Geoffrey is building an electronic circuit on a breadboard. He needs to supply his circuit with a 1500 ohm resistance. But he does not have any 1500 ohm resistors on hand. All he has is a box of 1000 ohm resistors.

(a) How can Geoffrey produce the desired resistance of 1500 ohm using only 1000 ohm resistors? Draw a schematic diagram and show that the equivalent resistance is 1500 ohm. Try to minimize the number of required resistors.

(b) What is the impedance of the 1500 ohm portion of the circuit?
