Question

The National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) wants to get an idea of what Americans think about the upcoming Supreme Court decision that might require states to allow the use of funds from a public student-aid program at religious private schools. In order to get the information, NAIS partnered with a large evangelical church in Tennessee to send a survey to all 3274 of the church's members. Survey respondents completed the survey online using a code provided in the invitation. The survey was available in English. Survey respondents were asked to decide to what degree they agreed with the following statements. The possible answer were "Strongly Agree", "Agree", "Neither Agree or Disagree", "Disagree", "Strongly Disagree". It is religious discrimination of the worst kind to prevent parents from using public funds at the school of their choice. The government is run by anti-religion bigots and the Supreme Court must protect the rights of parents to educate their students at a religious private school using public funds. 2002 residents responded to the survey. 15% of respondents said that they "Disagree" or "Strongly Disagree" that it is religious discrimination of the worst kind to prevent parents from using public funds at the school.
