Assessment Guidance Assessment 2 - Student Guide This guide is amended whenever a student response is provided. Check it out as we progress. Assessment Context and Task The assessment is designed for students to apply fundamental quality management tools and techniques. The assessment Hi-Sport Manufacturing Co. case and tasks are described in the course textbook on page 352 to 355. Important: The assessment is modified in that a c-control chart is to be created for a pair of ski pants. The initial chart development data for the ski pants is provided here: Ski pants data (PDF) Hi-sport started up production of an improved pair of ski pants. Production had been stopped over the weekend and a few adjustments made to its design and sowing. You are responsible for development of the new c-control chart for the number of defects as described on p.353 in the course textbook. Assessment Criteria Your paper will be assessed according to the following criteria. Content 90% Responses to assessment questions must demonstrate in depth understanding of the quality management issues and appropriate application of quality management tools and techniques. The questions have equal weight. Referencing 5% Appropriate in-text referencing and reference list. Adherence to CQUniversity Harvard Reference Style. Written Communication 5% Structure, expression, spelling, punctuation and grammar. Concise and within (+/-10%) of the word limit: 1500 words. Assessment Submission The assessment submission must be made online here. The file submitted must be a Microsoft Word or Rich Text Format (.doc or .docx or .rtf) document. Submit your assessment paper with a cover sheet showing the course name and number, assessment number, your name and student number, then attach answers to the questions asked. Ensure you indicate clearly each question number you are answering. Feel free to discuss your assessment ideas in the course discussion forum, before you complete and submit the assessment.
