Question

Mr Patel is competing in a 10K run which he has trained for during the last six months. He has set himself a target of completing the race within 60 minutes. He realises at the 7K mark that he has been running too slowly and now needs to make up time to achieve his target time.

Explain how the functions of Mr Patel's skeletal, muscular, circulatory, respiratory and nervous systems will have to work together in order for him to achieve his goal.
