What woud be a good response to this discussion: I was drawn to your post because I work in an adjacent field to yours, which is banking. I agree with you that the freedom our First Amendment protects gives us the ability to critique and realistically analyze the organizations that we work with and for. As far as the restrictive side of the First Amendment goes, the subject of non-disclosures is a very important one. The United States will let you willingly surrender your right to free speech, and those who requested that right from you may then prosecute you for violating that agreement. In my own industry, as well as yours, our free speech is limited because of the sensitive information that we deal with. We have no right to freely speak about other people's finances, spending habits, or where they keep their funds. To tell others not qualified to know about these things is a serious breach of social and legal contract. The First Amendment offers no protection to such activities as these.
