Design process is integral to effective, successful design solutions and the foundation of creative production. Though there are some integral and universal components to design process, we as individuals approach problem solving in a unique and specific way. What works for others may not work for us and vice versa. Based on your research and exploration of design process models, develop your own personal design process model that visually demonstrates how you problem solve using a visual metaphor. A visual metaphor is a pictorial analogy. The representation of a person, place, thing, or idea by way of a visual image that suggests a particular association or point of similarity. It illustrates a comparison between what is in the visual, including its connotations and denotations with another thing and its meanings. Methods for execution can include analog or digital technologies. Drawing, photography, digital illustration, process and programs, or any combination thereof. Your project will include;
• A one page Personal Process Model. Size and orientation is up to you
• A resolution appropriate PDF format file for presentation
• All process contributing to the development of your model Your process models must be ready to present at the beginning of class and submitted to the assignment folder in the course Moodle site. Include your design process model research, your group process model, and all the research, notes, sketches, and development that led you to your final Personal Process Model.
