The Hot Shots Beverage Co. has developed a self-heating alcoholic beverage, the Winter Warmer. To test the effectiveness of the exothermic reaction that heats the drink the maximum temperature reached during the heating of a random sample of 15 Winter Warmers was measured. The mean temperature of this sample was 47° Celsius. The population standard deviation of the maximum temperatures reached during this process is known to be 3.2° Celsius. According to the product specifications, the mean maximum temperature reached should be no more than 45° Celsius. Formulate the latter as a null hypothesis and test it using a 1% level of significance.
