In Singles badminton game, shuttle is smashed by Player A from close to base line, which is 6 m from the net. Height of the net to be cleared by a smash is 1.55 m. The shuttle is hit by player A at a speed of 250 km/h. The height at which shuttle is hit by player A is 2.5 m above the ground. The shuttle travels in a straight line with a coefficient of drag = 0.55 . Player B lifts the shuttle at other side of the court 0.1 m above the ground. Find the distance traveled by the shuttle and the acceleration. Find The velocity at which shuttle hits the Player B's racket (Some data may be extraneous data. Assume Player B need not move to lift the shuttle by racket. Mass of standard badminton shuttle is about 5.20 * 10 -3 kg. Standard Badminton court dimensions can be found on the diagram). A) The smash is in cross court direction as shown in Line A (Red). B) Smash is in straight line as shown in line B (Blue).
