Data is collected to perform the following the hypothesis test:

H0: μ = 5.5
Ha: μ ≠ 5.5.

The sample mean of the data is y = 5.4 and the P-value is .1034. Select the choice below that gives the proper interpretation of this P-value.

a) If the null hypothesis is false, then the probability of obtaining a sample mean closer to 5.5 than 5.4 is .1034.
b) The probability that the sample mean y differs significantly from 5.5 is .8966.
c) The probability that the null hypothesis H0 is true is .8966.
d) The probability that we have made a mistake is .1034.
e) The probability that the null hypothesis H0 is true is .1034.
f) If the mean μ does not differ significantly from 5.5 (that is, if the null hypothesis is true), then the probability of obtaining a sample mean y as far or farther from 5.5 than 5.4 is .1034.
g) The probability that the alternative hypothesis Ha is false is .1034.
