A circular beam length 36 inches and diameter 1 inch is supported on the left end by a pin joint and the right end with a roller. The beam is under axial tension with forces of 1000 lbs out of each end.

Forces (from left end):

300 lbs downward at x = 12 inches

600 lbs downward at x = 24 inches

Torques (from left end):

1000 lb in at x = 36 inches

Find the principle stresses and max shearing stresses in the beam.
