Question: A local appliance retailer handles four washing machine models for a major manufacturer: standard, deluxe, superior, and XLT. The marketing manager has recently conducted a study on the purchasers of the washing machines. The study recorded the model of appliance purchased and the credit account balance of the customer at the time of purchase. The sample data are in the following table. Based on these data, is there evidence of a relationship between the account balance and the model of washer purchased? Use a significance level of 0.025. Conduct the test using a p-value approach.
