While 5.00mL of a sodium nitrite solution containing 17.04 g/L of sodium nitrite is added to 25.00mL of sulfuric acid solution containing 2.754 g/L of sulfuric acid, the following reaction occurs

NaNO2 (aq) + HSO3NH2(aq) →N2(g) + H2O (l) + NaHSO4(aq)

a) Find out the mass of nitrogen gas produced and calculate the volume occupied by this mass of gas at temperature of 23*C and a pressure of 99.5 kPa.

b) While this experiment was conducted the nitrogen gas was collected over water, the volume of wet nitrogen produced at 23C and 99.5kPa was 14.81mL. Explain what the percentage yield was obtained by the student. The vapor pressure of the water at 23C is2.81 kPa
