Topics In terms of range of topics, you should attempt to cover a mix of 3-4 major topics from different parts of the book and class. Use the book/class slides and the syllabus as a guide to the types of topics you want to cover. Some examples of topics include the 1) organizational design of the company (such as mechanistic or organic) and why, 2) SWOT/Porter’s Five Forces analysis of the company and organizational strategies adopted, 3) analysis of the organizational structure (Functional, Divisional, Matrix etc.), 4) globalization, 5) analysis of the organizational culture etc. MGMT445 Organizational Theory Spring, 2019 CRN: 14033 2 When choosing the topics, you should pay special attention to the relevance to conceptual materials and practical implications. This is of great importance to the analysis section because one goal of the presentation is to demonstrate your mastery of the conceptual materials and your ability to apply them to a real organization. You may achieve this goal by including clear definitions and in-depth exploration of each topic that you select.
