Can you agree/disagree and add more information regarding the below message? "Personally, I believe the Federal Reserve System of the United States is definitely one of the most important financial institutions in the world. While I am hesitant to say that it is the most important because it really puts the United States in the center, I believe it is accurate to say because the United States has the largest economy measured by GDP. The FED has many different roles. Some of the most important ones include supervising and regulating banks, controlling national monetary policy, maintaining financial stability, and providing banking services. Many of their other important roles can most likely be categorized under one of these.

To respond to inflation, it would make the most sense for the FED to raise interest rates in an attempt to reduce the pace of the economy and slow it down, while simultaneously bringing down inflation. The FED has an insane amount of power that is often times overlooked, and without it and its ability to control our economy, our financial state would be in shambles."
