To facilitate a collaborative effort with my department supervisor, in determining the job skills and qualifications most needed for a database job, I would engage with subject matter experts who have in depth knowledge of the database field. I would use precision analysis questionnaires to gather specific information about the skills and qualifications needed. I would conduct workshops or meetings either virtual or in person with key stakeholders to discuss and refine the job requirements. I would leverage technology, like shared documents, project management software and video conferencing to facilitate communication and document sharing. I would review existing job descriptions in our database to identify common skills and qualifications. I would collect feedback from all participants and iterate on a job description until there is an agreement.
