In its last action before being shut down by the Trump administration, the EPA has required your factory to install new “extractor” equipment to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by at least 2 tons (4,000 pounds) per week. There are two choices: each extractor type X unit added will reduce emissions by 500 pounds per week; each extractor type Y unit added will reduce emissions by 800 pounds per week. X extractors cost $100,000 each, and Y’s cost $120,000 each. Write the objective function for this problem including whether it is MAX or MIN. Also, define each decision variable that you use.
