Situational factors are events or situations that affect the relationship between attitude and behavior at a particular point in sometime. Consumer behavior or buying decisions can be influenced by external factors such as costs or the need for a sense of security. Thus, consumers can have different attitudes toward specific audiences, each of which is influenced by a particular situation or environment, resulting in different behaviors or purchasing decisions. Attitudes to buying behavior are learned through learning. This may be through a direct experience of the product, through word-of-mouth information, or from advertising or the Internet; these attitudes have a good or detrimental effect on buying behavior. Attitude is motivated quality; they may push consumers to somehow act on the product. Measuring purchases simply does not reflect why consumers or groups respond in a positive or negative way, nor does it explain how such behavior may be affected or changed.
