For the next few days, pay attention to ways that you and other people express warmth. 

1. Jot down ways that people express warmth that you think would be appropriate in a professional relationship. 

2. What about other people's behavior that communicates they are cold, detached or lack warmth? 

3. Also, notice situations where the expression of warmth might be inappropriate, such as hugs that are too close at work, someone staring at you, or patting someone on the head or back.
