Over the last semester, you've learned Ethnic Studies Concepts, explored first-person narratives from marginalized communities, and interrogated systemic inequality and in the last week we will cover Transformation and Progress.

For the Transformed Campus for MJC Student final option students will make a five hundred-word essay addressing issues faced by students and create a recommendation for support service using the Ethnic Studies Values.

For this assignment students are required to:

Identify a student population at MJC you want to propose a campus intervention for including but not limited to: Native American Students, Homeless Students, Latinos, African American Males, Veterans, Undocumented Students, LGBTQ+ Students, Single Parents, Foster Youth, Formerly Incarcerated, Low Income, and/or First Generation.
Describe problems students from this demographic experience at MJC.
Identify a solution the campus administration can explore to address the systemic issues encountered by students from this population to improve campus support and increase student retention and success.
