International Marketing Project
As a business owner or a marketing manager you should be able to establish a sound marketing plan to grow your business. So as your final project you must develop a full marketing plan for:
A- you have the choice between choosing one of the following:
- An existing business: you can choose an international company (Ex: Google) or your current employer (wherever you work). OR
- A future business idea: if you are an entrepreneur and would love to start your own business in the future.
After choosing a company to study you must provide a full description of your chosen business: make sure to describe the sector, products, vision, mission, objectives, competition, etc.
B- Now assume that this business is looking to expand into a new country (you have the freedom to choose which country). Provide a full marketing analysis and planning for such a move. You should cover the following points (at least):
1- Provide an environment analysis of the chosen country: culture, social and legal environment.
2- Describe your customers' profile:
• Customer groups
• Segments
• Targeted segment
• Behavioral analysis
3- Explain your entry, positioning and branding strategies. 4- Explain your pricing strategy.
5- Explain your Promotional strategy: advertisements, offers, promotions, sales, coupons etc. make sure to cover channels, messages, budgets, etc.
6- Use Porter's 5 forces model to provide an analysis of this global expansion move.
In order to fulfill the requirements of this final project, each student must submit the following:
- A project report: in pdf or word format.
- PowerPoint presentation covering the main points in your project.
- A recorded video presentation of the student explaining the findings of the project (The presentation should not exceed 20 minutes).
