There are two kinds of chemical processes. These are 1) endothermic and 2) exothermic. Thermic relates to thermodynamic (meaning heat). Endo relates to internally directed. Exo relates to externally directed. This means that an endothermic process is one which adds heat to the body while exothermic removes heat from the body. These are all internal process, unlike falling or spinning. It is a commonly held misconception that exothermic process cannot be sponteneous. Please use the internet or another source to find an example of a sponteneous exothermic reaction. Summarize the process. Use MLA style to cite your source or sources. Explain why these sources may be considered reliable. Or not, if the source seems unreliable to you.
in discussing solar-thermal so far weve mostly focused on the large central-station power plants that generate
The solubility of Pb(NO3)2 is 55 gramsper 100 g H2O at 20 degrees celcius. Which term would properly describe a soloution where 44 grams of Pb(NO3)2 is added to 100 grams of water at this temperature
At 212 mm Hg and 24 °C, a sample of gas occupies a volume of 125 mL. The volume is increased to 325 mL and the temperature is reduced to -5.0 °C. What is the final pressure of the gas in the flask?
portion of that solution is diluted by adding 167 mL of water. What is the final concentration? Assume the volumes are additive.
A solution contains an unknown mass of dissolved silver ions. when potassium chloride is add to the solution.,a white precipitate forms.
It is known that the Co2+-ligand complex obeys the Beer-Lambert Law. Calculate the mass percentage of the cobalt in the original sample.
A certain quantity of a gas occupies 61.3 mL at 68 ?C. If the pressure remains constant, what would be the volume of the gas at 128 ?C?
a student measures the conductivity of a kno3 solution and determines it to be a strong electrolyte. the student
Assign absolute configurations to the chiral carbons n one of your Fischer projections. Indicate which of the compounds you have drawn would be optically active. Explain your reasoning.
What is the pH of a solution made by adding 11.0 grams of NH4Cl to 550 mL of 0.205 M NaOH. (Assume no change in volume takes place.)
Formic acid, HCHO2, is a convenient source of small quantities of carbon monoxide. When warmed with sulfuric acid, formic acid decomposes to give CO gas
What is the main structural feature of the azo dyes that causes them to be colored compounds? Methyl Orange is an acid-base indicator. In dilute solution at pH greater than 4.4, it is yellow.
