The heat of combustion of benzoic acid (C6H5COOH) is -3226 kJ/mol at constant volume. When a sample of benzoic acid was burned in a bomb calorimeter having a calorimeter constant of 12.5 kJ/oC, the temperature of the calorimeter (including its contents) rose from 23.18oC to 27.65oC. What mass, in g, of benzoic acid was burned?
What i did, just unsure of my answer. (delta) T = 4.474
took 3226/122.13=26.41
4.474*12.5/26.41 = 2.12g Is this correct?
Dissolving 4.69g of an impure sample of calcium carbonate in hydrochloric acid produced 1.07 L of carbon dioxide (measured at 20.0 degrees Celcius and 737mmHg). Calculate the percent by mass of calcium carbonate in the sample.

How much HCl gas can be produced at STP by reacting 198 g of NaCl with excess H2SO4?NaCl + H2SO4 ! NaHSO4 + HCl.
Calculate the molarity of a solution made by adding 27.8 mL of concentrated hydrochloric acid (37.3 % by mass, density 1.19 g/mL) to some water in a volumetric flask, then adding water
From the time the mass of the flask is first measured until the time it is finally measured, it is handled a number of times with oily fingers. Does this lack of proper technique result in the molar mass of the vapor in the flask being reported as..
Since the freezing point of a solution depends on the number of particles, what would you expect the freezing point of 0.1 m solutions of aqueous NaCL and BaCl2?
Typically, gasohol is a mixture of 90% octane H8C18 and 10% ethanol C2H4OH. Determine the energy output of 1 gram of gasohol using the following two pieces of information
Splitting patterns and integrations may be used more than once, or not at all, as needed. Likewise, some bins might remain blank. Note that peak heights are arbitrary and do not indicate proton integrations.
A particular first-order reaction has a rate constant of 1.35x10^2 at 20 degrees C . What is the magnitude of k at 75 degrees C if Ea =85.6Kj/mol?
