A student has a water sample containing 0.499g of NaH2PO4*H2O dissolved in water. This releases 1 mole phosphate per mole NaH2PO4*H2O into the water. The student precipitates the phosphate in the water as struvite, vacuum filters to get the precipitate and quickly weighs the product. The mass of the student's impulsive is 1.3245 g. A fellow student Compute the % yield and says "These numbers don't make any sense!" Explain what is the percent yield of this students result?
